In
1980, the St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee
issued a symbol of unity, support and
pride in Cleveland's Irish Community – the
Shamrock Pin. The Shamrock Pin issued
annually with the current year inside
of the shamrock visibly demonstrates the
community's support, both financially
and in spirit, of Cleveland's largest
annual event - the St. Patrick's Day Parade.
Proceeds from the distribution of the
Shamrock Pin fund the St. Patrick's Day
Parade-the annaul awards, transportation
for highs school bands participating,
and a wide variety of other expenses associated
with the Parade.
